Hi Josiah. I loved the content on, well, content! I didn't realise how powerful building content is in internet marketing. I will make sure to take content writing seriously, and to make my content more useful to my audience. Right now I don't have any reader for my blog except for my fiance and my boss. That, or maybe I just don't know that people are reading it because I only get spam comments. If it's not too much trouble, may you help me increase readership to my blog? I work for an online hotel booking site that gives to charity at no cost to our guests. And we want to spread the word around about us because the more completed bookings, the bigger donation we make to charities. And blogging is one of the ways we build content, if only we can get more people to read it. I'd appreciate your help!

I think the recommendation for 2 social media strategists is on point for organizations looking to make online a core part of their marketing strategy--although not in a siloed way. The role of the social media listener and researcher, who serves a market researcher (both in terms of customer and competition) is critical to the overall social media optimization package.

I think hotels should look into hiring journalist types--and certainly that is an easier role to source in terms of HR. Alternatively, the role is equally online facilitator. Hotels, in my opinion, need reviews of their services to increase customer trust as well as reviews of related services (think digital consierge of sorts). Whether the hotels create this content or merely aggregate this content from other locations on the web via RSS or widgets may be debatable.

However, those hotels that seize this unique moment before the market becomes over-saturated with their competition and provide fantastic unique content in a way that their customers like will be those that dominate the online hotel marketing environment. Those that stay on the sidelines during this critical 24 month window of opportunity will be both left behind and scrambling to get a foothold in the market in 24 months.

Hi Josiah,

Another great post! :) As usual.

For me... this phrase alone should be a post:

"Content Marketing: The key to staying relevant in the new web"

:) it resumes it all!
