A great ad from Hyatt San Francisco [photo]

Hyatt Regency San Francisco has a great location near the Embarcadero/Ferry Terminal area. The area gets lots of foot traffic, and I think they’re doing a great job with this display advertising:

Hyatt

Why am I not seeing more of this? Is it a zoning issue – or do hotels just hate using their building as a billboard?

If you have a great downtown location with lots of passersby, you should be taking advantage of it.

  • There’s definitely a zoning issue in Downtown San Diego. You’re limited to number of words, sq. ft. duration signage is up, etc.

  • I think Hyatt Regency San Francisco is also famous like Columbia Beach hotel at Cyprus.

  • Hi Josiah,

The Hyatt Regency San Francisco pedestrian level billboard is simply brilliant! It is a visual treat, from the sidewalk surfaces, through the excellent message photography, up to the Hyatt building signature. Congratulations to someone for their thought and work, and thanks to you for the spotlight.

  • So simple, yet so effective !

I wonder though, whether it would have been better to take a shot of the view when lying on the bed…that way it makes you feel as if you were in the room and not just looking at it.

    Just a thought…

    Cheers
