Book Review: Love is the killer app by Tim Sanders

In this video, I review Love is the killer app by Tim Sanders:

The big idea: Business tends to squeeze out that no-ROI thing called humanity. When we share our intangibles – knowledge, network, and compassion – it creates a memorable experience for the people we interact with.

I’ll try for better lighting and camera positioning next time – I didn’t want to run through the whole review again this time ;)

  • I am extremely intrigued by the philisophy of this book and the generous spirit of sharing knowledge and information – but I would like to see what else you have on your reading list for this summer that has been published in the past 6 months to tackle our current context of the deluge of online information and social media networking.

    • I agree with you, Janalyn. The topic of how to handle the deluge of online information is very important for me. I saw an article on HotelMarketing.com on how we need to take a “Mind Diet” – I liked that analogy.

I’ll try to share more on this in upcoming posts….

  • Hmmmm Im sure this must be a great video Josiah.

Unfortunately, my Internet connection is too slow to play the YouTube video without breaks, which is quite irritating.

While using new technology like videos and podcasts are great, there should be some accessibility standards for those who are not physically challenged but infrastructurally challenged.

I am sure that there are lots of people out there like me with poor internet connections.

Maybe a text transcript for people like me ?

I think you should always offer multiple ways of accessing your content, just like most organisations in the UK have to, under law.

    Just a thought.

    Cheers
    Mihir

  • Josiah – Thanks SO much for the book review.

You are sharing the Love by doing it. You help others think differently about success, and in turn, change the world.

Great marketing content on this blog too – Hope to see you in Vancouver at MPI’s WEC conference in July.

  • Man, this book totally rocked me.. seriously changed my whole perspective on business, and pretty much single handedly got me reading again. What more can you say. This thing is pure gold! Get it!!
