The one-line, super-simple recipe for success in social media

The inside story from a real person who loves what they do

The inside story

Something we don’t already know. The scoop. Behind-the-scenes stuff.

From a real person

Not a department. A personality. Preferably, a friendly one. Someone we can identify with.

Who loves what they do

They’re so excited about it, you couldn’t pay them to NOT write about it.

That’s it. That’s the “secret.” Now, go do this…

  • Short and sweet and to the point! Well done Josiah, again I am impressed!

  • I’m surprised how hard it it to find this kind of people.
Usually if you find them they are shy and won’t give you the story :) )

  • Hahahaha Josiah, as usual you are too kind ;)

    Cheers

  • This was the article I really needed to read here today.

    Really made my day.

You really hit the nail here. Like Mihir I like to tick all these points.. plus I have to add some Rinse – Repeat when I get off task or just to help me stay on task.

To find some of these people you need to set up various listening outpost. There are many great story tellers out there. Yes some of them might be a little shy, but very often this is caused by that none has really taken the time to really listen to them.

    Cheers.. Are

  • I love the concise nature of this secret, Josiah! You are 100% correct! Looking for these people means finding people who love new friends – real or virtual. And they are out there!
Now, do you think that limited service hotels (with no gathering places) should monitor, but may not need to engage? We’ve been discussing the potential need for some sort of meeting / gathering place to make these efforts worthwhile.

Thanks again for a wonderful post that makes me smile!
